Food fraud can happen anywhere and anytime. Due to the lack of knowledge and information, consumers risk falling into the trap of food fraud, leading to serious food safety and health implications. There is a need for the food industry and authorities to come together and examine the role that demonstrating authenticity will play in alleviating these concerns.
