Bev Postma, outgoing Executive Director of Food Industry Asia (FIA), has been shortlisted for a coveted Gold Standard Award
this year, alongside two FIA Member Companies Fonterra and FrieslandCampina. The announcement of the 2015 awards shortlist was made by event organiser PublicAffairsAsia
Ms Postma, who will be leaving FIA at the end of January after a six-year tenure, is one of three shortlisted candidates in The Prospect Gold Standard Award for Professional Excellence, in the In-House category. The award recognises outstanding achievement by a senior communications, corporate or public affairs professional connected to the Asia Pacific region, who is seen as a leader in his or her peer group.
PublicAffairsAsia recently announced the shortlist
for the coveted Gold Standard Awards. With over 250 nominations received from across the region, the programme continues to set the benchmark for excellence across a wide range of corporate affairs and communications-related programmes throughout Asia Pacific.
Craig Hoy, Executive Director of PublicAffairsAsia, said the shortlist, drawn from 250 nominations, included over 50 corporations, communications consultancies, government agencies, NGOs and non-profits, as well as diplomatic missions.
“The fact that we’ve received so many nominations this year, is proof that the programme is widely recognised among regional communications and corporate affairs professionals as one which truly recognises innovation and achievement in communications, corporate citizenship and public affairs,” said Mr Hoy.
“The most hotly contested categories this year included The Gold Standard Award for Stakeholder Engagement, The Gold Standard Award for Corporate Citizenship and The Gold Standard Award for Country or Trade Promotion,” he said.
A panel of more than 80 senior professionals from corporations, communications agencies, government, the media and NGOs are now in the process of selecting the winners from among the shortlist. The winners will be announced at an exclusive gala cocktail reception taking place at The Foreign Correspondents’ Club (FCC) in Hong Kong on Thursday, 3 December.
