Recruitment Announcement: Finance Manager

What we’re looking for
We are looking for Finance Manager who can co-ordinate and manage the overall finance of FIA’s regional operations in Asia. To apply for this role, you should be an experienced professional who thrives on using your initiative and enjoys the challenge of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Finance Manager will:
  • Handle invoicing of members and payment of suppliers
  • Process monthly payroll, CPF contribution and staff expenses
  • File for GST quarterly to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and annual return to Registry of Societies
  • Keep track of Association’s expenses vs budget and provide estimated full year forecast
  • Arrange the recording and processing of financial transactions and ensure compliance with relevant Company, Society and Tax Legislation
  • Ensure effective administrative processes are in place and management information is maintained and reported in order to meet legal and organisational requirements
  • Provide the Executive Director with periodic updates of financials for Budget Committee, Joint Committee and Coordinating Council meetings
  • Take on a variety of administrative projects and day-to-day tasks including mailings, assembly projects, and filing
  • Support the Executive Director and Treasurer in the preparation and presentation of the annual budget and annual report
  • Support the Executive Director in grant application procedures
  • Oversee the maintenance of administrative and financial records and files
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditor, tax agent and building management
  • Any ad hoc duties as assigned

The ideal candidate should have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
  • College Graduate
  • Qualified/part qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Singapore company, taxation and societies legislation
  • Proven track record and experience in field finance/accounting, and working as an administrative assistant and/or office manager
  • Good administrative and organisational skills, including prioritisation and self-management
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Creativity and initiative for problem solving
  • Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MYOB accounts software
  • English is essential. Ability to read, write and speak an Asian languages is an advantage for dealing with external stakeholders in Asia
  • Experience with industry association or other non-profit sector
  • Friendly, outgoing and works well with others
  • Positive attitude, creative thinker and outstanding attention to detail

  • Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm
  • Location: Orchard Rd, Singapore
