Towards Collaborative Leadership to Counter Food Fraud

Objectives

(1) Review and report on the workshop deliberations “Global Understanding of
Food Fraud” held on October 28th, 2018


Seek input from audience on recommended approaches for:

  • Development of consistent guidance to industry on food fraud prevention
    and mitigation

  • Future directions of food fraud regulatory policies

  • Development of standards method performance requirements for non targeted
    testing used in the context of food fraud prevention

(2) Document and learn about current initiatives related to food fraud management in the middle East/North Africa


(3) Initiate discussions about risk communication associated with food fraud
incidents. Aiming towards a reliable source of information on such incidents
internationally
