NTU Food Technology Centre (NAFTEC) together with The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) will be hosting a public seminar on food safety risk assessment. The event will commence with opening remarks from NTU President, Professor Subra Suresh and among others, will feature presentations from the Director General of The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES), and the Vice President of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). In light of the upcoming opening of the Singapore Food Agency, the event will serve as a fantastic sharing forum on assessing foodborne hazards in the national and international regulatory framework as well as the impact and use of advanced revolutionary technologies i.e. Next Generation DNA Sequencing to support of science-based risk assessment.
