Singapore – Ferrero joins FIA, bringing the organisation’s membership to eighteen of the world’s most influential food and beverage companies. A global chocolate and confectionary leader, Ferrero has a total of 20 factories, 41 headquarters and operational sites in 5 continents, which employ around 22,000 people.

Ferrero will be ably represented at FIA by Mr Luca Cico, General Manager North Asia and his two colleagues: Angelo Giardini, General Manager China; and Mauro Mantovani, General Manager SEA.

Mr Cico attributed the company's decision to join FIA to the organisation’s proven ability to bring the industry together on issues of common interest.

“We are delighted to join this impressive group of business leaders as together we address some of the non-competitive issues that are unique to our industry,” Cico said. “Asia includes some of our most diverse and fastest-growing markets in the world right now, and we are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the region’s development.”

“We are pleased to welcome Ferrero to FIA,” said Bev Postma, FIA’s Executive Director. “As one of the strongest global confectionary brands, they bring additional expertise to industry’s collective efforts on key food and beverage issues in Asia. From food safety issues to regulatory harmonisation, our growing membership continues to strengthen FIA’s ability to bring mutual benefit to industry, consumers and governments.”
