Ferrero began its story in the little town of Alba in Piedmont, Italy, in 1946. Today, with a consolidated turnover of over 7 billion Euros, Ferrero is not only a large Italian company but the leader in the chocolate and confectionary sector in Europe and in fourth place in the world.
With two new plants underway in Turkey and Mexico, Ferrero has a total of 20 factories, 41 headquarters and operational sites in 5 continents, which employ around 22,000 people.
Product freshness and high quality, careful selection of the finest raw materials and continuous research and innovation are some of the key elements of Ferrero’s success. Furthermore, Ferrero has social responsibility in its DNA: it continues to invest in local communities thanks to the Ferrero Foundation and the Ferrero Social Enterprises placed in Cameroon, India and South Africa. What’s more, data show that the Ferrero business model favours growth and investment in the communities where it operates, while diminishing the impact on the environment.
Ferrero’s products are often inimitable, despite being widely distributed, and have become part of the collective memory and customs of many countries, where they are truly loved generation after generation and often considered as cultural icons.
