The International Rice Congress (IRC2018) is the world’s largest gathering of rice scientists, industry experts, and market players, happening at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center, Singapore, on October 15-17, 2018.

IRC2018 is being jointly organized by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Government of Singapore, with the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) as an International Partner. It will gather over 3,000 delegates from all across the rice value chain, from all across the globe.

Core to IRC2018 is highlighting the role of technology in shaping current trends and the future of the rice industry. Among its delegates are key players, technology providers, and rice research experts that will discuss disruptive technologies and innovations presently used in rice production—artificial intelligence, machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), to name a few.

One of the event’s keynote speakers is Amazon.com’s CTO, Werner Vogels, who will discuss ways of simplifying operations and driving innovations with technology that everyone has access to.

IRC2018 will give your organization an opportunity for exposure to potential opportunities for partnerships and engagements, while allowing you to connect with other key players in your field. Participation to the event may also be done through sponsorship, which will provide you with unique opportunities, including:

  • inclusion in pre-event and in-event advertisements

  • networking opportunities with key players in the rice industry

  • exclusive meetings and dialogue with keynote speakers and principal resource persons

  • inclusion of branding and logo on the IRC2018 website (http://www.ricecongress2018.irri.org/)

  • significant media mileage, and inclusion of organization/company name in event press releases

IRC2018 also celebrates young scientists’ talents and their emerging significant contribution in rice research innovations. Your sponsorship will provide funding for young scientists from around the globe to attend the event and gain further knowledge on rice research innovations and trends.
